Description

Reported by multiple users.

Models imported through Datasmith Direct Link can be relocated after a sync, despite no edits to the geometry's location in the DCC program. Currently reported for both Revit and Archicad models.

The cause of the relocation is currently unclear but appears to only occur on a resync. Affects either some or all geometry in the model. Highly disruptive to users when this occurs.

Reported instances of this occurring:

  1. [Link Removed]
  2. [Link Removed]
  3. [Link Removed]
  4. [Link Removed]

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Import model from Archicad or Revit using Direct Link
  2. Take note of model position
  3. Move the top container of imported element object in Twinmotion
  4. Move individual parts from the imported container
  5. Make edits to the model in DCC, add new elements and change position of others. Such that there should be modifications and new elements in the child of the moved container.
  6. Sync changes

Result: On some sync attempts, some or all geometry from the model will relocate to different locations.
Geometry may move by the same offset or may appear to be offset randomly.

Expected: The elements imported should keep the elements position correctly.

Workaround
In some cases, using the Reset transform on selection for the relocated geometry may return the geometry to the original import location. Unconfirmed if this works for all cases.
