Description

Recording a media bundle will create a reference to a Synth sound on the Media Sound Component that will prevent the sequence from saving properly. This can be worked around by saving as a possessable, recording in PIE and exiting PIE, then saving, or removing the Sound from the Sound Component.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Create a new Media Bundle asset
  2. Add it to a level
  3. Add a source in take recorder for the media bundle
  4. Make sure Take Recorder has Record to Possessable unchecked
  5. Start recording and stop shortly afterward

RESULT

An error message will pop up saying:

 

Can't save [PathToSequenceAsset]: Graph is linked to object(s) in external map.
External Object(s):
TestMediaBundle_2
MediaSound
Synth

Try to find the chain of references to that object (may take some time)?

 

Every attempt to save the sequence will fail with the same message
