Description

Occasionally the player capsule can be launched due to bImpartBaseAngularVelocity being enabled in the CharacterMovementComponent. Disabling this does not result in the character capsule being launched in any direction.

  • Project that can recreate on a regular basis. PIE then run right after the fracture. May take a couple of times of doing it, but it's the most consistent way I've found to get this to happen.
Steps to Reproduce

1. Open UE4
2. Create a Destructible Mesh that damages on impact
3. Fracture it with 50 or more pieces
4. Place a couple of the DMs in the level
5. PIE
6. Walk into the chunks until you get launched

Results: Occasionally the player character will be launched into the heavens or at a fast velocity when stepping up on or down from a destructible chunk or object simulating physics

Expected: The player will not be volunteered to be a space candidate when just trying to traverse some fractured chunks. The player will gracefully get to the other side of the chunk pile.
