The attached project was created in 4.27 and is rendered on render target when checked in 4.27.
However, this does not reproduce in 5.0 or later.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Set Custom Depth-Stencil Pass to Enable With Stencil
  2. Create a new material and render target 2D
  3. Place a sphere on the level, enable Render CustomDepth Pass and set CustomDepth Stencil Value to 1.
  4. Change to translucent material and set custom stencil scene texture
  5. Place a Draw Material To Render Target node on the level BP tick and assign render target 2D and material to it.
  6. Nothing is written to render target 2D after execution.
