16 bit PNGs are not rendering the correct color information, appear to be gamma corrected unnecessarily compared to an 8 bit version of the same texture.
Also Reproduced in Main Promotable-CL-2545026
RESULTS: The 16 bit PNG comes in washed out
EXPECTED: They should both be the same texture, OR there should be a way to make the behave the same by changing a setting in the Texture Editor of the 16 bit texture.

NOTE:
You can remove the sRGB on the 16 bit texture and have them look the same but the 16 bit texture will always render (in a Material or a UMG Widget) as if the sRGB where checked true.
