Description

I created a very large static mesh and then put a basic floor underneath it withe the bottom of the mesh overlapping the floor. I then created a camera 250,000 cm out from the mesh and zoomed in using field of view down to 5.0. Where the meshes overlap a strange jagged artifacting occurs.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Create two static meshes to use as overlaps. The mesh to simulate the mountain should have no underside.
  2. Scale larger Static Mesh up to the size of 33,000
  3. Make second Static Mesh to fit under the first.
  4. Create a camera 250,000 cm away from the Static Meshes.
  5. Zoom in using Field of view. I found 5.0 to work.
  6. In the large Static Mesh's material use a world material offset workflow.
  7. Return to your viewport and bake the lighting.
  8. In the camera viewport around the side you will see some jagged edges.
