Description

After updating the NVidia graphics driver to v.552.74+, reflective/mirror materials appear broken and render with black and white lines in VR mode if they are in a level with a Post Process Volume with certain Lumen Reflections settings.

Affects both VR PIE and VR Scouting mode.

Steps to Reproduce

This can be reproduced by running Lyra with -emulatestereo (right eye has artifacts in reflections), or follow the original repro steps below:

  1. Update machine to latest nVidia Graphics Driver (v.552.74 or above)
  2. Open Scouting project > default Level (PL_VScout) (//UE5/Main/Sandbox/VirtualProduction/Scouting/Scouting.uproject)
  3. Verify Lumen is enabled in Project Settings
  4. In the Outliner, select the "PPV" post process volume object > Details Panel > Reflections > verify "Method" is enabled and set to Lumen > Lumen Reflections > verify "Quality" is enabled and set to lowest value "0.25"
  5. Start VR PIE or VR Scouting Mode > observe the reflective spheres in the level (uses the MI_Mirror material)

Actual Result:
Reflective materials are broken
**

Expected Result:
Reflective materials render as expected
