A licensee found a problem with a capsule component used in a blueprint. A player intersecting the spherical ends of the capsule will cause it to fire overlap events. However, after simulating physics on the blueprint, the overlap does not fire in those spherical ends, but only fires in the cylindrical center part of the capsule.
Attached screenshots show the issue. Also attached is a simple test project which demonstrates the problem.
1. Open test project and play
2. Walk player up the stairs and on to the box, intersecting with the sherical end of the capsule. Note that the log shows overlaps are firing
3. Walk back down.
4. Left click to enable physics simulation on the blueprint. The BP rolls down the stairs
5. Again walk to the spherical part of the capsule and intersect with it. Note that the overlaps are no longer firing.
6. Walking toward the center cylindrical part will once again fire overlaps.
