In [Link Removed], it mentions that only the instance in the editor viewport supports switching to Simulate In Editor when running multiple instances in PIE. However, rather than showing that instance's world with the player detached from their character, the viewport now shows the second client's world.
When this occurs, the view of the second client's viewport will be frozen. If the second viewport is selected, you can still control that second client's character, but it will only be shown in the first viewport.
When running multiple instances with "Run Under One Process" deselected, switching to simulate in editor works as expected.
Start a multiplayer PIE session with more than one client, with "Run Under One Process" selected.
In the editor, press the F8 key or the "Eject" button on the level editor toolbar.
Expected: the editor viewport will show that client's world now simulating in the editor, with the player detached from that client's character.
Actual: the editor viewport will show the second client's world, with the second viewport now frozen.
