Description

When TSR is enabled, translucent materials using the AfterMotionBlur translucency pass cause visual artifacts when local exposure is active. The artifacting is believed to occur because the local exposure pass is rendered at half resolution and does not include meshes using the AfterMotionBlur translucency material.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Ensure TSR (Temporal Super Resolution) is enabled.
2. Ensure Local Exposure is enabled.
3. Create a new translucent material with the following settings:

  • Set the Translucency Pass to AfterMotionBlur.
To easily see the visual artifacts, also set the following:
  • Set the Base Color to a lighter color.
  • Set Opacity to 0.9.
    4. Apply the material to a mesh (e.g. a cube).
    5. Observe bright spots and visual artifacts appearing on the mesh's surface.
