Transform gizmo can become huge when using certain meshes to create a socket on. I don't know exactly what's wrong with this mesh, but the transform gizmo isn't expected to go nuts.

1. Download the attached fbx
2. Import the fbx with default settings
3. Open the skeleton
4. Right click on one of the wheel bones and select Add Socket
5. Select the socket
6. In the transform options at the top right of the viewport, switch to local transform
7. Switch between Translate, Rotate, and Scale
Result: Translate and Scale gizmos are gigantic and Rotate is a triangular shape
