Description

TSR (and TAA) history accumulation gets reset when taking viewport screenshots or when clicking on an empty area in the outliner (when a tree item is selected). This can cause an undesirable issue when trying to make screenshots in quick succession for comparison, as some screenshots will be noticeably aliased and noisy, when others are properly anti-aliased with converged TSR/TAA. In the case of TSR, this reset can be more easily inspected by setting r.TSR.Visualize to 1 (it is slightly harder to see when r.TSR.Visualize is set to -1, but still visible in screenshots). The expected behaviour is that TSR/TAA in screenshots should always be converged.

Steps to Reproduce
  • Open a new project
  • Set r.TSR.Visualize to 1 so it becomes easier to distinguish when TSR history is reset (this will show up as a colour frame as opposed to the greyscale TSR visualization mode)
  • click an item in the outliner, then click in an empty area of the outliner. TSR history will reset. This is not the case when clicking on another item in the outliner
  • take screenshots with F9 in quick succession. Sometimes, the TSR history will be reset, in other cases not: the folder where screenshots are saved will contain both greyscale (TSR does not reset) and coloured images (a TSR rest was triggered)
  • the same behaviour happens with the high resolution screenshot tool
