Description

The UV coordinates for visualizing the mesh painting texture on Nanite spline meshes are not working correctly. This runs the code in the NANITE_VISUALIZE_MESH_PAINT_TEXTURE section in NaniteVisualize.usf

Steps to Reproduce
  • Create a new blank project
  • Duplicate the cylinder static mesh, convert it to Nanite and add it to the scene
  • Create a spline Blueprint with 3 nodes in the construction script: "Add Spline Mesh Component", "Set Static Mesh" with its New Mesh field pointing to the Nanite cylinder mesh created previously and "Set Forward Axis" with Z as the forward axis
  • Change to Mesh Paint Mode
  • Select the cylinder static mesh
  • Select the Textures tab
  • Select Paint mode
  • Select Color View Mode: RGB Channels
  • Note that the UV coordinates are correct
  • Select the spline mesh
  • Note that the UV coordinates are wrong
