Steps to Reproduce

Import Test_SkeletalMesh.fbx in the content browser

Import Test_Animation.fbx in the same content folder

In the import dialog, verify that the skeleton Test_SkeletalMesh_Skeleton is selected in the 'Common Skeletal Meshes and Animation' section

 

Expected result: A new animation sequence is imported

Actual result: An error message "Interchange: Error: ['Path to Test_Animation.fbx' : '', Unknown] There was no data to import in the provided source data." and no new asset.

 

Notes:

  • The same steps with legacy FBX creates a new AnimSequence, Test_Animation and no AnimSequence on the import of Test_SkeletalMesh.fbx
  • Trying to reimport the AnimSequence generated on the import of Test_SkeletalMesh.fbx with TestAnimation.fbx gives the same result.
