Steps to Reproduce
  1. Open a Project
  2. Press ` key to open console
  3. VREd.ForceVRMode 1
  4. Press "x" in top right hand corner of editor to close editor

ALSO:

  1. Open a project
  2. Start VR-Editor by pressing "VR"
  3. Alt + F4 -> Save/Close

Result: Crash
