When using the Draw Texture with the Canvas Render Target 2D as the Target within blueprints, the rendered texture will produce a black result if set to Blend Mode : Modulate.
The other blend modes render as expected. i.e. Opaque, Masked, Translucent etc...
1. Download and Open attached project.
2. Press PIE
Expected The texture renders the Default Alpha Texture checkered pattern.
Outcome The texture renders black.
