When a blueprint variable is given a category and subcategory then compiled, the variable will show up in the details panel when selecting components that existed when the blueprint was created.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Open UE4 Editor (Any project)
  2. Create blueprint based on Character
  3. Add new variable (NewVar) with category and subcategory (NewCategory|SubCategory)
  4. Compile Blueprint
  5. Select CharacterMovement component

NewCategory->SubCategory->NewVar appear in the details panel of the component.

Variables are independent of components
