Editor freezes when rendering directly to C:\ from Sequencer

Unable to confirm, but I suspect this could be directly related to the drive being an SSD. The user cannot render to their C:\ and D:\ drives (both SSD), but I can render to my D:\ (HDD) just fine.

1. Create a sequence with a basic camera move and a camera cut track
2. Click the Render Movie button
3. Change the output directory to "C:\"
4. Hit Render

Result: Render window appears, then the editor freezes
Expected: Renders a video to C:\
