Description

Clear coat bottom normal does not seem to work properly with virtual textures. Different virtual textures plugged into the material's base color can yield different clearcoat bottom normal results.

Steps to Reproduce
  • See additional info URL for repro project
  • Enable Buffer Visualization > Overview and observe the window called "Opacity", which is repurposed to show ClearCoat Bottom Normals instead of opacity
  • Changing the virtual textures in the texture sampler node that's plugged into the BaseColor will show different results in the "Opacity" window, even though the normal texture which is used for clearcoat bottom normals remains the same
  • Additionally, the Opacity visualization may also show tile-like artifacts
