Steps to Reproduce
  • Create a new VR Template
  • Add Niagara particle effect from EPS ticket
  • Enable Application Spacewarp by setting the following cvars to 1
    • r.Velocity.DirectlyRenderOpenXRMotionVectors=1
    • xr.OpenXRFrameSynthesis=1
  • Package and deploy on Meta Quest

Results:

When the particle effect is in view, the framerate is at Target and the ASW artifacts of shaky hands(controllers) can’t be perceived. If the Niagara effect is not in view, ASW in in effect and the framerate is halved.
