The Heightfield from DFAO when playing in Standalone or a packaged game has darkened shadow artifacts for the level.
Workaround: Use r.AOGlobalDistanceField 0 to disable the Global Distance Field. This will remove the shadow artifacts that occur with it enabled in Standalone.
This may have occurred in previous versions than 4.13 as well. I didn't have any of these builds to test with currently loaded.
Tested in:
Broken: 4.13.1 Binary CL-3142249
Broken: 4.14 Preview 1 CL-3167010
Broken: 4.15 Dev-Rendering CL-3171167
1. Enable Mesh Distance Fields for the project
2. Create a Landscape with tall hills and ridges
3. Add a Movable Skylight with default settings
4. Play in Standalone mode
Results: DFAO heightfield has darkened shadowing artifacts for landscapes while in standalone/packaged but not while working in the editor or in PIE.
Expected: DFAO heightfield shouldn't have the shadowing artifacts in Standalone or packaged games.
