A user on the AnswerHub has reported that a number of his sounds have had their Attenuation Override settings reset, more specifically the 'Spatialize' setting.
I ran a few tests and discovered that it only seems to occur with a larger number of sounds i.e. starter content. I attempted to test a single sound within the project, and the setting persisted as expected, after upgrading to a newer engine version. I then added an additional sound that had a longer duration to see if that had an effect, and the sound kept its unchecked 'spatialize' setting after upgrading.
Regression?
No, this issue occurs moving from 4.12.5 to 4.13.2, and also occurs moving from 4.13.2 to 4.14.
1. Create new blank project with Starter Content.
2. Open each Sound Cue and disable the 'Spatialize' setting.
3. Save All and Close the project.
4. Open a copy of the project in a newer engine version.
Outcome The 'spatialize' setting is reset and is set to 'true' after upgrading to a new project version.
Expected The setting persists upon upgrading to a new engine version.
