POST BODY:

  • Summary
[Bug] [UE5.8.1] => "Landscape Layer" Doesn't appear in [LandscapeMode] even when the landscape is assigned a Layer-Based Material
  • What Type of Bug are you experiencing?
    World Creation Tools
  • Steps to Reproduce
I've created a video you can find below that explained everything in much details but you can find a summary here:

1) Create a new project "Third Person" without variant and a new level with the template "Basic"
2) Delete the ground, Go to landscape Mode and create one with the default UE5 setting
3) create a material called "M_LandscapePaint" and create the simpliest landscape layer blend with 3 named layer and 3 colors. Then assign the material to the Landscape
4), Now under Landscape mode, Under layer, should normally appear the 3 material, but here, nothing is there

  • Expected Result
The 3 named layer in the landscape material should appear here and we should be able to paint with it.
  • Observed Result
Nothing appear as if no material were assigned to the landscape
  • Affects Versions
    5.8
  • Platform(s)
    Windows
