The editor crashes when the user attempts to reopen the Platform asset after setting the media file to the Windows platform. The editor also crashes when opening another asset (adding in a Media Player and opening that).
The crash is occurring from an infinite loop calling the platform media source.
This crash does not occur in //UE4/Release-4.15 @ CL 8259876.
Setup:
Create a new Blank project with no Starter Content
Repro:
Expected Result: Able to assign the media file to the Windows platform and reopen the asset
Actual Result: The editor crashes when trying to reopen the asset or open another asset after assigning the media file to the Windows platform.
