I wasn't sure how to get additional audio logging and asked around, but could not get the commands for what I need. I'm waiting on our Audio SME to come in (different time zone) to see how I can get additional information for this bug. I'll update it accordingly.

In the mean time, I tried several game console commands for stat groups. Attaching images of those before and after restart track.

  • Stat Audio: VehicleGame_Audio01 and VehiclGame_Audio02
  • Stat AudioThreadCommands: VehicleGame_AudioThread01 and VehicleGame_AudioThread02
  • Stat Sounds: VehicleGame_Sounds01 and VehicleGames_Sounds02
Steps to Reproduce

Repro:

  1. Download VehicleGame sample from the launcher and package it for Linux.
  2. Move the packaged sample to a Linux machine and give it permission to execute.
  3. Open a terminal in the package's root folder and run the project via "./VehicleGame.sh"
  4. In game, press ESC and select Restart Track
  5. Play and observe in game audio.

Result:
In game music doesn't load on restart. Other audio elements either work briefly and stop or do not work at all.

Expected:
Game performs the same as initial start up after restart.
