Scrolling the mouse wheel slowly on Mac does not have any effect in the editor

No, occurs in 4.14.3

On Mac, scrolling slowly (one or two notches) does not have any affect in editor, whereas on the Windows, this has full effect.

This was seen in editor (with scrolling the mouse in the viewport) as well as when playing ShooterGame (where scrolling one notch should change weapons).

I tried adjust the Scroll Speed in System Preferences but that didn't have any effect.

1. Open any project in editor.
2. In the viewport, scroll the mouse wheel one notch up or down.

RESULT

Nothing happens. On Windows, this would move the viewport camera.

WORKAROUND

Scroll quickly.
