Users have reported that building for Distribution on Gear VR results in failure due to a missing Oculus library. The error they receive is as follows:
UATHelper: Packaging (Android (ETC2)): [javac] Z:\src\com\epicgames\ue4\GameActivity.java:705: error: package com.oculus.svclib does not exist
I have been unable to reproduce this locally, but the users also posted on the Oculus forums and they mentioned that they have already fixed in in their github branch. The commit I suspect to contain that fix here: https://github.com/Oculus-VR/UnrealEngine/commit/aad74821932e28ba6ca84b2708600c2d9ea39e01
Regression?: According to users - Yes
The users mention that this is new to 4.16
N/A - Entering on User reports, unable to reproduce locally.
