Description

When Cloth Painting, "Cull Backfaces" is ineffective when the backface is very close to the face that you are painting on

Occurs on?
4.16 - 3466753 - YES
4.17 - 3523593 - YES

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Create a Third Person Template project
  2. Open the Mannequin Skeleton
  3. Editor Preferences>General>Experimental>Enable Clothing Tools(Restart editor if needed)
  4. In Persona, enable Section Selection
  5. Right click on the Mannequin Body>Create Clothing Asset from Section>Create
  6. Window>Cloth Paint
  7. Select the only asset in the list and "Enable Cloth Paint Tools"
  8. Reduce the Brush radius to 5 and enable "Cull Backface"
  9. Move the viewport camera so you are looking directly at the back of a hand
  10. Paint on the hand
  11. Rotate camera to view the palm of the hand

Result: Palm of hand has been painted as well. Trying the same with the body does not have the same result. Appears to occur if the backface is very close to the front face.
Expected: Only the back of the hand is painted. Nothing painted on the palm.
