Description

Normals do not stay with the face of the asset that has been imported using Alembic whle animating
-use import settings for documentation and check Recompute Normals and Force One Smoothing Group Per Object
-Problem appears to be mostly with the Recompute Normals
-Documentation

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Download attached asset (alembic format)
  2. Import into Unreal (See attached screenshots for settings)
  3. Open asset in animation editor
  4. Show < Advanced < Normals
  5. See the direction the normals are facing
  6. Scrub timeline
  7. Watch the normals change direction on the mesh(See screenshots)

Expected: Normals do not change direction when asset is animating and normals stay with the face of the asset
Result: Normals change direction as the asset animates and normals do not stay with the face of the asset
