Description

A growing number of users are reporting the Plugin Warden entitlement check timeout error while attempting to import datasmith files. Some users have been able to resolve the issue, some have not.

Potential solutions reported by users (these work for some, but not everyone):

  • Reboot computer
  • Turn VPN on
  • Turn VPN off
  • Disable firewall
  • Change nothing (just started working)
  • Disable McAfee Enterprise
  • Disable Kapersky Antivirus
  • Disable Teamviewer
  • Disable Akamai Netsession Client

Additional Notes:

  • One user is using a proxy and running the Launcher with "-http=wininet" but still gets the error
  • Users have confirmed the launcher is running when the error occurs
  • Some users experience the error while not running any proxy, VPN, or firewall

 

Steps to Reproduce
  1. For some users, on Datasmith import

RESULT: "Something went wrong. We were unable to verify your access to the plugin before timing out"
