Description

Creating a Destructible Mesh from a Static Mesh isn't carrying over the Material applied to the Static Mesh. The following warning is generated when the Mesh is created and when it is fractured:

LogApexDestructibleAssetImport: Warning: Using default materials for material slot

This warning does occur in 4.20.3 however the Barrel will still render with the expected Material in the Sub Editor.

This issue is also occurring in 4.21 Preview 3.

Steps to Reproduce

Steps:

  1. Open QAGame in UE4Editor
  2. Search for Barrel_02 in Content Browser
  3. Right-click > Create Destructible Mesh

Results: Destructible Mesh is created with Default Material

Expected Results: Destructible Mesh is created with the Material applied to Static Mesh
