Rename of variables are cancelled if user clicks the variable type menu. This occurs if the user has not press enter yet to accept their input and then clicks the variable type menu. I also noticed this occurs if the Viewport tab is selected in the blueprint editor and the user clicks into the Viewport on step 4. If the user clicks anywhere else in the editor, the input is accepted. I've attached [Link Removed] to demonstrate the issue.

This occurs on Windows. Mac and Linux have not been tested yet.

This does occur in //UE4/Release-4.22 @ CL 5708642 and //UE4/Release-4.21 @ CL 4899592 so this has not been marked a regression.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Open any project in the Editor
  2. Right click in the Content Browser and create a new Blueprint Class
    • Base the class on Actor and double click it to open
  3. Click the plus symbol next to Variables and type "Test" for the name without pressing enter
  4. While the name field still has focus, click on the type icon (red rectangle to the left of the name)

Result: Name change is cancelled
Expected Result: Name change is accepted
