Description

A user has reported that DeploymentServerLauncher.exe will continue to poll for devices even if no iOS devices are connected. I am under the impression that this is so that Windows can poll for iOS devices, to allow for logging. The argument for this being a bug is the CPU usage and that it continues to run even if the user does not plan to do anything with iOS.

Regression?: Yes
This did not occur in 4.21.2

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Create or open a project
  2. Open the Task Manager and sort processes by CPU usage
    Results: DeploymentServerLauncher.exe appears at the top of the CPU usage list (8%-10% with a Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2643 v3 @ 3.40GHz (12 CPUs), ~3.4GHz) every ~5 seconds
Expected: DeploymentServerLauncher.exe does not use any CPU, as no iOS devices are connected
