Trace Complex must be enabled to get the phys mat.
Physical materials placed on starter content shapes always return as invalid for any trace or collision query.
1. Open UE4 Editor with starter content (Puzzle tempalte)
2. In content browser right click and select Physics -> Physical Material (PhyMat)
3. In content browser right click and create a new material (MatTest)
4. In material editor set Phys Material to PhyMat
5. Create new Constant3Vector node and set values to R .5, G 1.0, B 0.0
6. Wire Constant3Vector node into Base Color
7. Setup Player Controller as per attached screenshot and compile
8. In the content browser, find Shape_Cube in the Starter Content->Shapes folder and drag into the level
9. Set material element 0 to MatTest
10. Play in editor and move mouse over the cube to trigger the line trace
