Variables incorrectly returning as Out of Scope when watched

Variables that are not local to the blueprint are returning as "out of scope" when watched.

1. Open the first person template
2. Open the First person Character blueprint
3. Navigate to the Stick input commented area
4. Right click and watch the variables shown in the attached image
5. Notice they all return as "Out Of Scope"
