Licensee reports this change, and can confirm a very rough similarity observed in a template project in 4.27:

Requires a 4k screen ideally for testing

1. A Blueprint-only, First Person Template project created from UE 4.26.2 from the launcher
2. Launch the game from the editor
3. setres 3840x2160
4. stat UNIT
5. Turn around so you can't see the text on the floor
6. showflag.translucency 0
7. Observe a small drop in values (i.e. translucency increases frame rate even without it in the frustum)
