When using a Spot/Point Light with Distance Fields enabled and a mesh that is scaled to 0 on the XYZ will result in artifacts.
1. Open UE4
2. Enable Distance Fields in the Project Settings > Rendering >
3. Restart UE4 if DFs not already enabled
4. Place a Point/spot Light in the scene and enable DF Shadows in the details panel
5. Place a Mesh in the scene near the point/spot light
6. Scale the mesh to 0 on the XYZ
Results: With Point/Spot lights there is a noticeable artifact created with meshes that are scaled to 0. This can get larger the further the mesh is from the light source.
Expected: There will not be any artifacts when using DFs with a mesh that is scaled to 0 on the XYZ.
