This issue may reference [Link Removed] which was recently fixed with 4.9 CL-2553675.
When using the MoveComponentTo node physics do not work properly compared to other methods to move a component like using vinterp with a timeline to move the mesh or using the new Interp Move component.
Physics sim was recently fixed so that when the character BP moves any simulated bodies attached would move accordingly, however this does not appear to work properly for the MoveComponentTo node. When using this same skeletal mesh in place of a character mesh the bodies will move correctly.
Attached two videos for demonstration:
1) In place of third person character with correct movement.
2) demonstration of attached project with three different setups for movement. Only one acts 100% correct.
1. Open Attached Project
2. PIE
Results: The MoveComponentTo node does not behave like the interp move even when simulated physics are used.
Expected: When moving an object using the MoveComponentTo node the physics should act like the interp component or player controller mode by simulating correct physics.
