Description

The Packed Level Actor behavior has changed since 5.0.3, exhibiting the behavior described in the Result. I was able to reproduce this 4/4 times on Windows. When testing on 5.0.3, I confirmed that this behavior is a regression.

I have attached screenshots to help demonstrate the behavior being seen in 5.1.

As a workaround, users can select the BPP asset in the Outliner panel and this will select all assets in the Packed Level Actor as expected.

There also seems to be a "Packed" section missing from the Details panel for the BPP asset that was present in 5.0.3. I am also attaching a screenshot of a comparison of the two versions.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Open/Create a 5.1 Project
  2. Place several assets into the level close together (such as Cubes)
  3. Select all of the assets and right click one of them, then select Level > Create Packed Level Actor
  4. Click "Ok" on the dialog box that comes up
  5. Save the Level and Blueprint assets
  6. Find the two Packed Level Assets in the Content Browser
  7. Drag the BPP asset and Level asset into the viewport

Result: Able to add both assets to the level. When selecting the Level asset in the viewport, it selects all of the assets included in it. When selecting the Blueprint asset in the viewport, it only selects the individual asset that was clicked on.

Expected: Only the BPP asset is able to be added to the Level, and selecting the BPP asset selects all of the assets within the Packed Level Actor.
