Description

Hi Sevan,

I think we are having a bug:

When using our calibration format “vwf” the image is slightly misaligned.

Same calibration exported MPCDIv2 works good in UE.

So it seems to be some issue with importing VWF files

Please find more details in the letter below.

I would really much appreciate if you could estimate roughly how long could such a fix take – will help me talking to customers. Currently I got 2 big projects signed off and calibrated, but because of this big we keep them on MPCDI route and customer expects switching back to VWFs usage.

Thanks!

Here's the summary of the bug discovered, feel free to forward:

  • Version: Unreal 5.0.3 (nDisplay switchboard)
  • Projection policy type: VIOSO
  • Using .vwf with 3D data (pre-calculated views)

Slight misalignment in the projected viewports, high probably due to rotation angles (pitch, roll) being swapped/inverted.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Use VIOSO Projection Policy in 5.0.3
  2. Notice misalignment
