Description

SkeletalMeshActor using a PhysicsAsset with custom box shapes may flicker rapidly in Editor when not selected, and also flickers in PIE mode.

If occlusion culling is disabled the flickering stops.

 

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Open the provided DoorTest sample project (Attached to linked UDN)
  2. Open the ThirdPersonMap map

Expected

The SKM_DansDoor SkeletalMeshActor draws as a solid object and doesn't flicker (see video)

 

Actual

The SKM_DansDoor SkeletalMeshActor flickers rapidly

 

Original UDN repro steps are:

1) Use Blender to export a Door / DoorFrame to .fbx

2) Import as SkeletalMesh

3) Use SkeletalMesh Editor Plugin to add 2 bones (not sure if this step is needed)

4) Edit PhysicsAsset. Delete any auto-created shapes and then Add Shape -> Add Box

5) Observe flickering
