Description

Adding a static mesh to a scene has different tessellation than when painting the same mesh with the foliage brush.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Open a new project in 4.9.1
  2. Add a sphere to the scene by dragging it from the content browser.
  3. Add the same sphere mesh from the content browser to the foliage tool.
  4. Paint a sphere next to the the first one
  5. Go to wireframe view

Expected: Same tessellation and wireframe
Result : Different calculation of tessellation between spheres
