Description

When the user attempts to place an object on a tracked plane it slides around the environment not staying in the expected place. Using the ARDebugcheck project with the show planes option you can see the tracked surfaces are not attached to any real world object.

The affected CL's to sometime after CL: 31260376 (5.4.0) as the test passed in our 5.4 Weekly essential testing. However this DOES not seem to occur in UE5/Main 5.5.

Last Working CL: 5.4.0 CL: 31260376
Confirmed Earliest Not Working CL: 5.4.0 CL: 32495778

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Sync to and Compile UE5/Release5.4.2 CL: 31260376
  2. Create a New HandheldAR Template or ARDebugCheck project
  3. Package the project for iOS
  4. Install the package on a compatible OS device
  5. Launch the Package
  6. Tap Start AR and Allow Camera permissions
  7. Scan the environment
  8. Place an object or showdebug planes
    1. If using Handheld AR Template tap on a Plane and place a mannequin
    2. If using ARDebugCheck open the Debug Menu and select Show Planes
  9. Move the iOS device around observing the mannequin / debug planes
  10. Try both Portrait and Landscape orientations.

Observed Result:

The Mannequin and Planes slide around not attached to the environment, seemingly attached to the iOS device itself

Expected Result:

The planes and/or mannequin do not move while the iOS device is moved around,
