Event shutdown does not appear to fire off on Android

When the user tries to save data using the Event Shutdown the event does not seem to fire off. The data does not get saved

1. Open the attached project
2. Package it out to an Android device
3. On the device open the app
4. Go to options
5. Move the slider
6. Exit and quit the app
7. Open the app back up
8. Open the options menu
9. Notice that your settings were not saved
