This issue has been closed as 'Won't Fix' due to an extended period of time without updates. If this issue is important to you please let us know by posting on the AnswerHub or UDN, and Epic will re-open the ticket for further review.
When using bNotConnectable to prevent a blueprint pin from connecting to other pins, it is still possible to right click on the pin and choose the "Promote to Variable" option. Doing so will add and connect a "Set" node for the pin.
This has not been reproduced internally.
