When making an LOD for a particle system in cascade the higher level LODs won't change their assigned mesh. In the attached project I'm using stairs for the LOD0 mesh and a rectangular Mesh for LOD1 to make the bug more apparent.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Open attached project
  2. PIE and move backwards away from particle system until it turns a red color

The particle system turns red

The particle system turns red and the mesh being spawned changes
