Description

'Use Translucency Vertex Fog' does not work on Metal despite the following release notes:

According to 4.13 Releases Notes:[Link Removed]

"New: Shader Model 5 Rendering for Mac
Mac Metal now has initial Shader Model 5 support enabled by default. This exposes all the available features of Metal on Mac OS X 10.11.6 that are applicable to Unreal Engine"

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Open attached project in SM5 Environment in UE4.13.2 on PC
  2. There are 2 Sample spheres, one with Translucency Vertex Fog enabled, the other with Translucency Vertex Fog disabled
  3. Move camera away from spheres in viewport to demonstrate that the sphere with Translucency Vertex Fog enabled fades out as the distance from the camera increases.
  4. Open the same project on a Mac running Sierra in UE 4.13.2
  5. Move camera away from spheres
  6. RESULT: The sphere with Translucency Vertex Fog enabled does not fade out as the distance from the camera increases on a Mac when rendered with Metal.
  7. EXPECTED: The sphere with Translucency Vertex Fog enabled to fade out as the distance from the camera increases as it does on the PC when rendered with Shader Model 5.
