Description

Speedtrees are just normal static meshes once they are in the engine, so if we are corrupting them across an engine upgrade that is really bad.

Steps to Reproduce

Open the above project in 4.12

  • Find the Pine-5 static mesh and open it in the static mesh editor
  • Change the LOD view from Auto to LOD 1 and then LOD 4.
  • Observe the triangle counts and the mesh display
  • Also note the Screen Size properties for each of the LODs

Repeat these steps in UE 4.14 or 4.15

  • The LOD 1 mesh has many more triangles and displays tiled copies of the billboard. LOD4 has different topology.
  • The ScreenSize properties have changed
