Description

Reimporting a static mesh causes a significant change of view in the Static Mesh Editor Viewport from the original view. (See attached images)

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Download and open the linked file: [Link Removed]
  2. Folder includes FBX to reimport located in the outermost directory with the .uproject file.
  3. Open the project
  4. Open the static mesh editor and view the static mesh SM_Chair2 without changing the camera angle, zoom, etc.
  5. Leave Static Mesh Viewport open and proceed to next step
  6. From Content Browser, right click on the static mesh and choose "reimport" SM_Chair2
    RESULT: The angle and/or position of the SM_Chair2 in the Static Mesh Editor Viewport changes dramatically (SEE IMAGES BELOW)
    EXPECTED: The angle/position of the mesh to remain the same in the Static Mesh Editor Viewport upon reimporting.
    NOTE: This project was saved with the changed view in the viewport. You may have to start from scratch in order to reproduce this effect. The illustrated steps show this from importing the chair first, then reimporting it to produce the bug.
