In my case using MSAA with thick exponential height fog in the map will cause thin horizontal lines where the fog has no effect.
The artifact only appears at certain view angles you may have to look around for a bit to see the line pop up. The licensee has reported that the issue appears no matter what AA method is used and this remains true for multiple machines. (I attached their DxDiag for comparison)
RESULT
A thin horizontal line appears in the viewport and it appears the fog has no influence. (see screenshot)
EXPECTED
You are able to look around and see the landscape being partially occluded by the fog with no artifacts.
